The upper level of Milne Library is a designated quiet study area. Library staff do not shush students. Rather, we encourage students to monitor each other and to say something to the person(s) neglecting to follow this guideline.

Similarly, Milne 104 is intended to be a designated quiet computer use and study space when classes are not being taught in the room. The expectation is that people will exercise courtesy, which entails talking quietly, using headphones, taking care of their trash, and returning furniture to its original location. In this space, students are responsible for enforcing quiet rules.
