Most items you borrow through IDS can be renewed. However, because Fraser Hall Library does not own these items, we have to request permission from the lending libraries. Renewals are not guaranteed and due date extensions will vary from library to library. You will be notified via email about the status of your renewal requests, though if we do not hear back from the lending library then you will need to honor the original due date.

First option: from your reminder & overdue emails

Every due date reminder and overdue notice that you receive will include a link to request a renewal. Simply click the link, sign into your IDS account, and click the link to renew the item.

Second option: sign into your IDS account to view your checked out items

You can sign into your IDS account at any time to view your checked out items, their due dates, and to request renewals.

Third option: contact the IDS Office

You can also contact the IDS staff by phone at 585-245-5594 and email at ids@geneseo.edu.
