On the results screen of the desired item, locate the appropriate call number.
Milne Library uses the Library of Congress call number system which consists of a series of letters and numbers. Each beginning letter (or set of letters) represents a subject area. If you find one book on the shelf, then the others that are around it will likely be related. This makes browsing the shelves a good strategy for finding additional resources.
Most of our books are on the third floor. As you go upstairs, you will see signs pointing you in the right direction for various letters:
Find the section with the first two letters, then (within that section) find the books with the first numbers (in this case 186). Keep looking at one section at a time until you get to your book.
Books with "TERC" in their call numbers on on the first floor in the Teacher Education Resource Center. DVDs and CDs are also located on the first floor.
If you ever need help finding a book in our collection, just ask at the Service Desk -- we're happy to help!
