If you're having trouble accessing articles, databases, or other resources, here's a few things you can do to try resolving the issue on your own.

  1. Switch to another browser.
  2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies. In Chrome, it's under Settings -> History -> Clear browsing data. Be sure to uncheck saved passwords if you don't want to delete this. In Firefox it's under Settings -> History -> Clear recent history.
  3. If you're using an ad blocker (Privacy Badger, Adblock Plus) that's great! You'll want to disable the ad blocker on the library's website, subject guides, or databases. Ad blockers can interfere with some library system performance.

If none of this helps, you can visit the Help Desk in the Library for assistance or report the issue to the library's resource team. The library manages hundreds of databases--very few of them are free, so if you're having trouble please email helpdesk@geneseo.edu describing the issue you are experiencing. We want to connect you with resources!
