Items borrowed through Fraser Hall Library’s Information Delivery Services (IDS) must be returned to the library before the due date assigned by the lending institution. It is the patron’s responsibility to monitor the due dates of outstanding IDS loans and to place timely renewal requests as needed. The extension of due dates are at the full discretion of the lending institutions and all items are subject to be recalled at any time. Patrons will be notified via email when items are due or if they have been recalled.

Failure to return an item within 32 days of its due date will result in a $60 replacement charge plus a $10 non-refundable billing fee. These fees represent the billing fees Fraser Hall Library pays the lending institution for lost items. Replacement charges can only be waived if the item is returned in good condition and Milne Library has not yet reimbursed the lending institution.

It is also the patron’s responsibility to return items borrowed through IDS in the condition in which they were received. At the discretion of the lending institution, patrons who return an item with additional markings or damage will be subject to a $60 replacement charge plus a $10 non-refundable billing fee.

All charges will be recorded on a patron’s student account, which may delay class registration, transcript requests, and the receipt of grade reports & diplomas.
