If the book is not part of our Reserves collection, you can request a copy of the book via IDS.

Getting started

You'll first need to set up your IDS account. Simply sign into your IDS account using your Geneseo username and password. Once you've signed in, you just need to provide some basic contact information, such as your phone number and email address. This will allow us to notify you when your items are ready, or contact you if we are having any difficulties getting your requested materials.

Placing requests

If you already know what you want, you can sign into your IDS account and place your request. Simply select the type of request you wish to place, enter as much information about the item as you can, and submit the form.

You can also request an item that you find in one of our research databases or search engines by clicking on the "Get It" button or a "Request Item" link (see below). This makes requesting an item easy because the database will provide IDS with all of the item's information. You then just need to submit the form.
